All major web browsers maintain a list of the web pages you have visited in the past. This list is called the “Browser History”.

There are a number of reasons why you might want to view your browser history (or someone else’s), so knowing how to do it is sure to come in handy at some time in the future.

For example, let’s say you remember reading an interesting article on some obscure website a couple of days ago and you think one of your friends would enjoy reading it also.

All you have to do is quickly scan your browser history from that day and you’ll be able to find that link so you can copy it and email it to your friend.

You can typically display a browser’s history by clicking on a button or selecting a menu option, but the specific methods vary from browser to browser.

However, there’s a very simple way to quickly display the browser history in any major web browser…

Simply press the Ctrl+H key combination. Go ahead and give it a try.

Pretty neat, huh?

From now on you won’t have to try to figure out how to display the browser history on the rare occasions when you need to view it. Simply press Ctrl+ H and it’ll pop right up!

Bonus tip: There are times when it helps to delete your browser history (to clear up a strange glitch, for example).

This post explains how to quickly clear the browser history in any popular web browser.
